[Visit Japan Winner’s Diary: Fedreik-san] From Asakusa to Harajuku

My typical holiday is a short 3D2N trip.
Thanks to Fun! Japan, we can have 6 Days 4 Nights trip.
We can have that amazing feeling when you wake up and realize you’re still in Japan on your 4th day.

In our 4th day in Japan, we knew we didn’t have much time left, so we decided to wake up early (still fail anyway), and rush to the next spot on our list, Asakusa.

Asakusa is known for its Nakamise-dori, a shopping street which is also an entrance to the Sensouji temple.
The place is very famous that even locals will take photos in front of the gate.
There were many shops selling snacks, drinks, clothes, bags, and Japan-themed souvenirs.

We were lucky that the place was not too crowded at that time, though we didn’t buy many things since we already bought most of our souvenirs on our 1st day.
We just bought an ice cream and looked around the area, and found several places we think worth mentioning.

There’s a place where you can have a rest and have a free sip of Japanese green tea while sitting on a traditional red chair, or under a shades of plants.
Very relaxing.

We also found a little playground like the one you usually see in a Japanese dorama or anime.
We really relieved our childhood there, ignoring the passerby who saw us.

Afterwards, we went to a Q-Pot Cafe, a cafe known for its cute cake and design interior.
A dreamy place for girls, I’m sure.
The cakes weren’t just cute, the taste was also exceptional.
It’s so soft and melts in your mouth, totally worth the price.

From there, we tried the famous Ichiran Ramen recommended by my niece and a famous Singaporean food blogger LadyIronChef (Brad Lau).
What makes it different is the special broth.
It’s really something different from the ramen we usually eat in Indonesia.

Then, we went to Takamise-dori, Harajuku.
It was already nighttime, so most people were already going home.
We did explore the open shops where the clothing lines is indeed different from ‘casual’.

If you want to do cosplay, the shop in Takamise-dori offers schoolgirl clothes, gothic, and lolita clothes.
But if you want a cloth specifically for animation characters, you might want to go to Akihabara instead.
