Last year in 2015, there is a restaurant called Shiretoko Kaigan Shokudo (literary means Shiretoko seaside cafe terrace) opened in the very nice location, right in front of the Shiretoko ocean. From the seating, you can see the superb view of Sea of Okhotsk while you dine.
At the restaurant, you can eat many freshly caught seafoods landed-in every morning from Utoro harber and the grand natural forest nearby. The menu includes crabs, salmon, salmon roe, clams and many other delicacies from the ocean,lamp, bear meat, deer, and other fresh vegetables from the forest are also being served.

Each portion of the food served is large that you cannot believe if you visit there from urban side of the country like Tokyo! So eat great local flavor and make your stomach happy while you see the marvelous view of the ocean, you will not regret going there. In fact once you are there, you might not want to do anything but just to sit on a chair while seeing the ocean from the terrace table for the rest of the day.
