[Fun! Japan Reporter] Lunch in Seirock-Ya

Reported by Ghina

Hello minna san,

Ghina is reporting.

Several times ago, my family and I had lunch in Seirock Ya, a non-pork ramen restaurant. I've also read some reviews about it and most of them gave it good review, so I wanted to give it a try. I also downloaded coupon from Fun! Japan so I didn’t have to pay for one item.

Seirock Ya was located at Ramen Village in Aeon Mall. They are also opened several branch in Jakarta. The restaurant was quite small. It had open kitchen concept so we could see the cooking process.

All ramen and also the other food didn't use pork and lard, all were made from chicken. So if you don't eat pork, you can definitely eat ramen here.

We came there at 2.30 pm, a really late time to lunch, yet we were in waiting list, but we didn't wait too long though. Not more than 10 minutes, the waiter called us to enter the restaurant. Their manager who is Japanese greeted us friendly.

Since I had the coupon, I asked the waiter. They were all helpful and could explain about the coupon mechanism. Though it took a little bit time, after that, it was perfectly fine, the coupon could be used. Yaaay...

I ordered Toripaiten Shio Ramen with egg, my husband ordered Toripaiten Miso Ramen with egg, while my son ordered Tsukemen. We ordered two glasses of refillable cold ocha for drink and a bottle of mineral water.

The waitress was well trained, she explained about the food when we asked, also when my son chose tsukemen, she explained it without being asked. So, tsukemen was cold noodle served with warm broth.

The drinks and food came so quick. When Tsukemen came, the waitress explained to us how to eat it. So we had to dye the noodle to the broth, not to pour the broth into the noodle.

My ramen and my husband's ramen looked the same with white soup, but the taste was really different. My husband's ramen soup tasted like miso since its name Miso Ramen, haha. The soup in my ramen was the original one that tasted really savory, hmmm how do I say, really chicken? Hahaha... well, yeahh I could feel homey creamy chicken soup in it, really tasty.

Our ramen came with toppings like whole soft boiled egg that was cut into two pieces, spinach, take (bamboo sprout), a sheet of nori, a piece of quail egg, and a small piece of grilled chicken breast. Beside its delicious savory soup, the noodles was also good. We also loved the soft boiled egg, it was so yummy.

I also ordered extra chillie for my noodle. I just gave the ramen half portion of chillie and wow, it was so spicy yet delicious. It looked like sambal terasi in Indonesia but without terasi so it wasn't stinky.

Beside the food, I also loved the service. Waiters, waitresses, cashier, and also the manager were all friendly, helpful, and fast moving.

Since I used the coupon, I got one ramen for free. We didn't have to pay for the cheapest ramen which was tsukemen. Our bill amount was IDR 175k.

So recommended to eat here if you want to eat ramen. So what are you waiting for? Download the coupon and go there. The coupon validity is until April 30th, 2016. So hurry before it is expired ^^
