What is in the Newspaper in Japan on April Fools' like?

Everyone knows what can we do on April Fools’ Day right? 

We can LIE!

In Japan, we do the same thing to here. 

We lie and we lie a lot. 

The Unique thing about it is that we don’t only lie during conversations but the newspapers on 1st of April also gives fake articles...and yes we are fooled!

Okinawa ni Ningyo? 

There is a mermaid in Okinawa! 

Impossible right? 

Yes of course it’s not tru. 

It’s just a joke.

It is really interesting that I have never seen anything like this in any other country. 

I thought it would be the same in other countries just fooling around with friends but lying in newspapers?
