Dorayaki Quest : Classic Kuri-dorayaki for Autumn, Dorayaki with Chestnut!

Autumn started in Japan and it’s the perfect season to eat chestnuts.

There are many ways to eat chestnuts, for example in rice, but you can make plenty of sweets with them as well, like dorayaki.

Chestnut dorayaki is a very traditional dorayaki, perhaps the most common one after classic dorayaki.

Chestnut dorayaki is very easy to find in Japanese confectionery and sweets shop.

If you go to Japan in autumn, don’t miss giving a try to kuri-dorayaki!

Chestnuts are also used in a lot of other Japanese pastries like kuri-manju (chestnut round cake), kuri-yokan (red bean paste hard jelly with chestnut), kuri-kinton (very sweet chestnut puree) or western pastries like Mont-Blanc.
