Located in Aomori, far north of the main island, Aomori Museum of Art is a prefectural museum located right next to Sannaimaruyama site, an archeological site. Designed by an architect, Jun Aoki, the museum was designed with the inspiration from the site. The white color of the wall is the color of the deep snow falling in Aomori during the winter. Visual identities and designs of the museum are also worth to check. They exhibit artworks done by artists related to the area, such as Yoshitomo Nara and Shiko Munakata.
