Recommended Restaurants within the Landmark of Gifu in Japan: "Gifu CIty Tower 43"

“Gifu City Tower 43” is known as a landmark of Gifu. It is 43-story compound-type tower directly connected to JR Gifu Station. It is a place you can enjoy in a Gifu style with, of course, shopping areas, as well as many restaurants.

This will be an introduction to especially recommended restaurants within these.

Forty Three

Using the glass Sky Elevator to climb to the 43rd floor, which is the highest floor and 152 meters above ground, there is a Sky Lounge where you can view the cityscape of GIfu as well as Noube Plain. When you get off the elevator, there is a free observation room where you can look down on a spectacular panoramic view.

In a corner there is a French restaurant, “Forty Three”, which is a high-class restaurant that uses local foods. From Hida beef to ayu fish to local vegetables and more, you can have a taste of luxurious local ingredients.

You definitely want to experience a spectacular meal on a special day or with a special someone. It is the perfect spot to create memories of Gifu.

Also located on the second floor of the tower, at “Nihonshu Bar NOBUNAGA”, you can taste fresh fish stocked from the Toyosu Market, and carefully selected sake.

There are around 50 kinds of sake, and there is local sake from Gifu as well. Drinking sake alongside sashimi is superb. When coming to GIfu, you definitely want to try the local sake of Gifu. As soba is also offered during lunchtime, it is recommended to go for lunch as well.
