It is interesting as there is a [Pon!] sound when opening the lid! 「POCHI-PON」/ From Taisei Paper Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Osaka)

[Inoshikacho]

[Kusabana]

In Japan, there is a custom to give gifts at celebration such as New Year or school entrance, and it is called ‘Pochi bag’ which is paper envelope containing money. This time, the POCHI-PON that we are going to introduce is not envelope type but is a ‘cylindrical’ Pochi bag. The point is that when you open the lid, you will hear an auspicious sound ‘Pon!’ It is an essential condition that the fitting dimension of the cylinder lid and the main body are precise which made the light sound ‘pon!’ possible, which makes us feel the gem of the craftsmanship.

Another point to notice is that a cute illustration of foil stamping will appear inside when you open the lid. The feeling of surprise from the craftsman is transmitted to the person who receives or uses it.

All the illustrations depicting Japan are drawn such as ‘Ishika cho’, ‘Kusabana’ and ‘Shouchikubai’, and the price is 1,200Yen (exclude tax) for a set of 3 pieces. There are various ways to use it such as insert a letter in it and give it to your important friends or use it as a small case to keep earrings and accessories.

Since its foundation in 1919, TAISEI Co., Ltd., which operates Taisei Paper Manufacturing Co., is based in Osaka, and has cultivated technologies for manufacturing, printing and processing paper boxes and paper cylinders for about 100 years. In addition to POCHI-PON, they also sell magnets and accessories made of paper.
