Q1: How does the Karuizawa Outlet (Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza) look like?
It is spacious, clean, and compact.
Q2: How to get the discount coupon? Does it provide extra discount?
You can get the discount coupon at the information counter. It is called “PRINCE COUPON”, and only available for foreign tourists. Please show your passport to prove that you are not a resident in Japan in order to receive the coupon.
The coupon gives you extra discount for around 100 shops/restaurants in the outlet on purchase above a certain amount. Example, 10% discount on purchases above 5,800yen at ABC, or 5% discount on purchase of 3 items at XYZ etc.
Q3: Where can I find an ATM to withdraw cash?
Not all ATM in Japan accept ATM card from Malaysia. There are at least 2 ATM with “PLUS” and “CIRRUS” in this compound: one is the ATM machine at Seven Eleven near the entrance of this outlet if you are coming by train; the other one is near to the players’ room (located at Multi-function Space near to the Kid’s Park)
Q4: How to buy tax-free?
The tax-free procedure is done at each shop when you pay.
Q5: Where can I buy a bag for someone special?
Bag? What kind of bag? There are all kinds of bags at the outlet.
