Shopping at Shinagawa, Last Stop before Leaving Tokyo

There is always time for shopping on your last day in Tokyo, and Shinagawa is just the right place to detour to. Shinagawa offers a number of shopping spots not far away from the station, and the fact that it being not far away from Haneda Airport makes it even better for those who are going to depart from Tokyo and back to their homeland to get some last-minute stuffs.

Ecute Shinagawa, a Shopping Complex within Shinagawa Station

Located right within the JR Shinagawa Station itself, makes Ecute Shinagawa a pretty good and strategic place to drop by, to do your last minute shopping without leaving the ticket gate, in case if you forget to find something to bring back home as a souvenir, or if you just want to waste some time doing some window shopping.

This shopping complex is separated into 2 sections, Ecute Shinagawa and Ecute Shinagawa South. You can find stores or many genres: fashions, bags, accessories, souvenirs, sweets, books, confectionary, and many more. Some of these stores are original and can’t be found elsewhere except in this particular station. If you fancy fashions, and u might have missed the chance before when you were in Tokyo, Ecute Shinagawa South have Uniqlo and also other some fashion store, for you to browse through.

And if you want to fill in your stomach with the taste of Japan for one last time before heading home, Ecute Shinagawa also have a number of restaurant to fill you up.

Shinagawa Station have 2 exits, “Takanawa Exit” on the west, and “Konan Exit” on the east. Each of the exit may lead you to another two shopping complex, which give you extra options, if you wanted to look for more options to shop.

Their apparels and cultural goods shops can be found on the 2nd floor, meanwhile the 3rd floor are mostly groceries, and on the top floor, the 4th floor is dedicated for restaurants and cafe.

Wing Takana, both EAST and WEST offers an extensive selection of fashions, goods, and foods.

Just further south of the Wing Tanakawa shopping complex, stand the Shinagawa Prince Hotel, and not like any other hotel, Shinagawa Prince Hotel has its own shopping area, which offers a variety of goods that can be found here, from jewelry, accessories, apparels, gifts and souvenirs.

If perhaps you have too much extra time to spare before you need to check-in at the airport, perhaps you could also drop by Shinagawa Prince Hotel for a set of bowling game or two, as this hotel also has their own bowling alley.
