Mysterious Island in Skyfall Hashima Island - Battleship Island

Whoever watched the Bond film Sky fall, no doubt you seen the island this island appearance as the secret lair of Raoul Silva. Many people would think that is that real? 

Surely is CG!
Many people would answer that. Yes! It is a CG on Bond’s movie.
However it is real and its name called Hashima Island.

The island also known as Gunkanjima 軍艦島; meaning Battleship Island, is one among the hundreds of island in Nagasaki.
The island was built for once purpose “The Coal.”  During the industrialization of Japan in 1887 to 1974.
Mitsubishi bought the island in 1890 and began the project, the aim of which was extracting coal from undersea mines.

As petroleum replaced coal in Japan in the 1960s, coal mines began shutting down all over the country and leads Mitsubishi with no choice to officially announce the closing of the mine in 1974 leads the island became a ghost town overnight.
The island remained off limits until 2009.

There are tours provided to visit Hashima Island, the whole trip cost about three-hour with damage 4,300 yen. Unfortunately the tour limits the areas of access to a minimal zone (for safety reasons), so you will unable to see the interiors of the buildings, and were not able to view the crumbling temple or school grounds.

No doubt you feel a little pain for photographer that can’t take some interesting views photo and reveal the secrets of Gunkanjima, however there was a strong impression left from our visit.
