The Nagano Hotel in the Mountains Where You Can Enjoy Hot Springs and Snow Monkeys

Yamanouchi is an area with many hot spring inns. The hotel closest to the Jigokudani Monkey Park, famous for its snow monkeys, the Kanbayashi Hotel Senjukaku, has an impressive supply of hot water. The food is also excellent, with simple meals including Shinshu beef and local produce. Or, you can enjoy one of the many traditional Japanese inns near the Shibu Hot Springs, or visit the many hot springs that aren’t associated with a hotel.

Recommended Nagano Hotel in Katsushika Hokusai’s Beloved Obuse

Home to high-quality chestnuts, Obuse is a town that was loved by the famous Ukiyo-e artist, Katsushika Hokusai. The people that Hokusai beckoned to Obuse frequented the Masuichi Kyakuden. At this inn, they mix history with the new to create a comfortable atmosphere. We also recommend the "Obuse Onsen Akebi no Yu", where the water of the natural hot spring changes color depending on the weather and temperature of the water.
